How shiny odds work on PokeHaven EU / CobbleVerse — wild catches vs breeding methods from pack config.

Base rate
Wild shiny rate from Cobblemon config on this pack: 1 / 2048. That is the default you should assume when you see a sparkle in the wild or while fishing.
Shiny notice particles show within about 48 blocks.
Shiny Hour (donation event)
Sometimes the community funds a Shiny Hour: for 60 minutes, wild shiny odds are 2× for everyone online (1/2048 → 1/1024). It is a server-wide event — not a personal donor boost.

- Breeding Masuda / crystal methods still apply on top of the wild base.
Breeding shiny methods (CobBreeding)
Egg shiny rolls can use method multipliers from CobBreeding. Treat these as multipliers on the shiny check when that method applies — still rare, not “guaranteed soon”.

Do not assume every multiplier stacks forever. Use REI / item tooltips / CobBreeding docs in-game for how Masuda vs crystal vs “always” combine on your pair. The table above is the pack’s configured multipliers.
Practical hunting loops
- Wild / fishing: good biomes + balls farm. Expect long hunts at 1/2048. See Fishing and Spawn lookup.
- Breeding: claimed pasture, Ditto + target (or compatible pair), apply Masuda-style parents when you can. Egg timing ~7–15 min — Breeding.
- Food / cuisine buffs: CobbleCuisine can offer temporary shiny-related boosts — check food tooltips; don’t build your whole plan on a short buff.
- Gym progress first: a shiny does not raise the level cap. Keep badges moving.
What won’t help (myths)
- Standing in a “lucky” chunk without the right spawn / method.
- Expecting Ditto × Ditto to farm legendaries here — blocked in breeding config.
- Ignoring claims — someone else can steal your shiny egg project.
