Voice chat
Simple Voice Chat is built into the pack. Nearby talk works in-game — Discord is optional for lobby chat and announcements.
Contents
First join
- Join PokeHaven EU and allow the mic / voice-chat prompt if Windows or the game asks.
- Open Esc → Options → Controls → Simple Voice Chat and set Push to talk (nicest in groups).
- PokeHaven EU defaults: voice menu V, mute Right Alt. Group has no default key — B is reserved for your Backpack, so bind group to whatever's free for you.
- Pick the correct input device if nobody can hear you.
- Test with a friend nearby — you should hear each other within the hear distance.
How it works here
- Proximity chat — people near you hear you; walk away and the volume fades.
- Whisper — shorter range for quieter talk (~24 blocks).
- Groups — useful for raid parties, gym runs, or building crews so you stay linked while exploring.
- Voice is not forced — mute or stay in text if you prefer.

Troubleshooting
- No one hears you: wrong mic device, muted key held wrong, or OS privacy blocked Minecraft.
- You hear nothing: output device, game volume, or you’re out of range / not in the same group.
- Echo / feedback: use headphones; push-to-talk beats open mic near others.
- Caves and buildings can sound more “real” if Sound Physics is on — that’s normal, not a bug.
Etiquette
- Push-to-talk when you’re near a crowd or raid.
- Don’t blast music into open mic.
- Respect mutes — if someone deafens or leaves voice, don’t nag in chat.
