Craft the map
- Search Alfredo in REI and craft Winter Staff.
- Craft a fresh Empty Map.
- Combine Empty Map + Winter Staff in the Johto Cartography Table (or trade a Map Guide villager).
- Hover the finished map for coordinates. Details: Gym maps.
Important
Do not open the Empty Map in the world first — that ruins it for gym crafting. Use the correct region cartography table.
Fight tips
Ice walls stall. Don’t walk in underleveled into the ~65 band.
- Travel with heals; activate waystones on the route.
- Clear gym trainers if you need XP or CobbleDollars.
- Heal, then challenge Alfredo.
- Win → level cap rises → next: Sandra.
