Prepare
Flying, Psychic, and Fairy answer Fighting. Desert travel needs water / food / shade breaks.

- Heals, status cures, spare balls, claimed base / waystone to retreat to
- Desert tip — water, food, and shade. Don’t start the gym dehydrated.
Craft the map
- Search Furio in REI and craft Heavy Dumbbell.
- Craft a fresh Empty Map.
- Combine Empty Map + Heavy Dumbbell in the Johto Cartography Table (or trade a Map Guide villager).
- Hover the finished map for coordinates. Details: Gym maps.
Important
Do not open the Empty Map in the world first — that ruins it for gym crafting. Use the correct region cartography table.
Fight tips
Fighting punishes Normal/Rock/Ice/Steel. Keep a Flying or Psychic revenge killer.
- Travel with heals; activate waystones on the route.
- Clear gym trainers if you need XP or CobbleDollars.
- Heal, then challenge Furio.
- Win → level cap rises → next: Jasmine.
