Prepare
Fighting is the cleanest answer to Normal; Ghost immunities help too. Bulky Normals can stall — bring status or a Fighting pivot.

Craft the map
- Search Norman in REI and craft Normal Tablet.
- Craft a fresh Empty Map.
- Combine Empty Map + Normal Tablet in the Hoenn Cartography Table (or trade a Map Guide villager).
- Hover the finished map for coordinates. Details: Gym maps.
Important
Do not open the Empty Map in the world first — that ruins it for gym crafting. Use the correct region cartography table.
Fight tips
Bulky Normal-types can stall. Bring a Fighting-type or status support.
- Travel with heals; activate waystones on the route.
- Clear gym trainers if you need XP or PokéDollars.
- Heal, then challenge Norman.
- Win → level cap rises → next: Alice.
