Walkthrough — Brock to Misty
Prepare
- Electric and Grass coverage for Water
- Heals, spare balls, and a claimed base to return to
- ~30 level band while Misty is next (see Level cap)
Craft Misty’s map
- Craft a Cerulean Star (search Misty / Cerulean in REI).
- Craft a fresh Empty Map.
- Combine Empty Map + Cerulean Star in the Kanto Cartography Table.
- Hover the finished map for coordinates, then travel.
Important
Seagrass only drops with Shears. Bare hands give nothing. Also: never open the Empty Map in the world before crafting.
Fight tips
- Electric and Grass answer Water — bring at least one of each if you can.
- Status and chip damage help; don’t walk in at half HP.
- Level band while Misty is next is roughly the low–mid 30s — see Level cap.
- Travel with heals; activate waystones on the way.
- Clear gym trainers if you need XP or PokéDollars.
- Full heal at the gym entrance, then challenge Misty.
- Win → next up: Lt. Surge.
