Prepare
Water and Ground are reliable. Prepare for Nether-adjacent biomes.

- Heals, status cures, spare balls, claimed base / waystone to retreat to
- Crimson Forest / Nether-adjacent tip — fire resist gear helps the trip.
Craft the map
- Search Blaine in REI and craft Cinnabar Glasses.
- Craft a fresh Empty Map.
- Combine Empty Map + Cinnabar Glasses in the Kanto Cartography Table (or trade a Map Guide villager).
- Hover the finished map for coordinates. Details: Gym maps.
Important
Do not open the Empty Map in the world first — that ruins it for gym crafting. Use the correct region cartography table.
Fight tips
Hot biomes kill unprepared travellers. Waystones + food before the gym fight.
- Travel with heals; activate waystones on the route.
