Prepare
Ice and Fairy matter; Lugia as ace changes the endgame. Pack multiple win conditions.

- Heals, status cures, spare balls, claimed base / waystone to retreat to
- Top of the Johto Elite Four Tower. Full restore + items.
Craft the map
- Search Lance in REI and craft Master Cape.
- Craft a fresh Empty Map.
- Combine Empty Map + Master Cape in the Johto Cartography Table (or trade a Map Guide villager).
- Hover the finished map for coordinates. Details: Gym maps.
Important
Do not open the Empty Map in the world first — that ruins it for gym crafting. Use the correct region cartography table.
Fight tips
Lugia ace + Dragon core. Multiple win conditions beat one Ice type. After win: Hoenn unlock path on your Trainer Card.
- Travel with heals; activate waystones on the route.
- Elite Four / Champion: full heal between rooms.
- Heal, then challenge Lance.
